Lantern is the best option available for people in the absence of electricity because it may help us to get light with the help of oil in the absence of electricity so a lantern at home is very popular in south Asian countries.

Understand the Psychometric Cycle when Designing Air-conditioning Systems?

Sunday, January 16th, 2011

A psychometric chart is a set of graphs, which are combined so that they plot the relationships between the different variables used to specify humidity. As such, the knowledge of psychometrics is necessary for the study of air conditioning as it involves the nature of moisture and heat content of air under different atomospheric conditions. The design of the system would be based on the different interactions between conditions and they can only be analyzed and examined via the use of a psychometric chart.

In designing an air-conditioning system, a psychometric chart is used by professionals to determine at what temperature and moisture concentration water vapor begins to condense. This is called the “dew point.”

To find out more, the following conditions are plotted on a psychrometric chart:

  • Dry bulb temp
  • Wet bulb temp
  • Percentage saturation/Relative humidity
  • Moisture content
  • Dew point temperature
  • Specific enthalpy
  • Specific volume

Once it has been plotted, you will be able to see more clearly. This will enable you to plot the chart accurately.

Clouds In Painting

Friday, August 27th, 2010

Constable was never really known for pet portraits. He was, however, very well known for being fascinated by clouds and did endless studies on them. Clouds are the backdrop to a landscape and are pivitol in the way they portray the mood of the painting. Their abstract nature make them very pleasing subjects and, if you take time to study them regularly, you’ll get to know the characters and how they can be used to enhance a painting.

Cumulus Clouds are the large voluminous clouds that are white and billowy on top with a flatter darker base

Cirrus Clouds are the thinner clouds that streak across the sky with a wispy feel.

Strato-cumulus Clouds are longer ribbon-like clouds that stretch across the sky.

Clouds are made up of many colours. The whites can be a mix of cream and pale pink, the darks may be made up of red, blue and yellow tones. Perspective is also an important part of this subject, be aware of the vanishing point and how some clouds create ‘lines’ of perspective as they head towards the horizon

The Art Of Lladro Figurines

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

There are three components in making lladro figurines and that is earth, fire and color. Earth because porcelain is thought to come from clay. Fire because the porcelain is placed inside a kiln and fired at until the clay found its brittle end. Then there is color which is the input of each sculptor which are lightly hued and not gaudy to look at.

Of world renown, Lladro collectibles has a humble beginnings of a company. The business started when the Lladro brothers Juan, Jose and Vicente tried to eke out a living by creating beautiful porcelain figures. They studied at the Valencia School of Arts and Crafts, Vicente the youngest in Sculpture while the two in painting. Their first products are ceramic flowers. To upgrade their skills, they learned to design porcelain figurines. And so it is now known as the globally famous Lladro Collections.

In 1969, Almacerra, Spain is christened Porcelain City in honor of Lladro products.
