Getting Closer to Our Heart
Tuesday, November 8th, 2011
We all know that the food we eat goes directly to our digestive system and then the digestion process starts. What we don’t usually know is that the process already starts when we smell the food that we’re about to eat. The brain sends signals to the system and makes sure that everything is ready for the big process. The food goes down the esophagus towards the stomach where breaking down of food happens. When food is small enough, it is dispersed to the different parts of the body through the bloodstream while all the waste are flushed out of the body. Another thing to keep in mind is that healthy food is easier to digest so if we want to avoid having fat deposits and less digestion time, make sure to eat more of the healthy stuff and start living a healthier lifestyle. Don’t forget to enjoy the food that you eat.

Few Calories in Cucumber but Doesn’t Make a Sandwich on It’s Own
Sunday, November 6th, 2011
Due to there being very few calories in cucumber I have been sticking to cucumber sandwiches for my lunch for the past couple of weeks. This was nice at first as I do like a bit of cucumber, however when you have the same thing every day for a while you do begin to tire of it. It always tastes a little better when it has something else in the sandwich to complement it, and by that I don’t mean some lettuce or tomato as they are just as bland. I would much rather some egg or meat or something in there with it. However, this is going to increase the calories found in the sandwich considerably, thus defeating the whole point of just having the cucumber in there in the first place. I also tried tomato on it’s own but that was even worse as the middle makes the bread go soggy.

Didn’t Believe in Guided Imagery for Children Until I Tried It
Saturday, November 5th, 2011
I did not believe how effective guided imagery for children could be, that was until I gave in and had a go at it myself. One of my friends said that his parents made him go through a few exercises with a therapist in order to help him concentrate at school, as he always used to be one of those kids that would play up all the time. I don’t have that problem but I do find that it is difficult to sit and listen to what a teacher has to say for an hour at a time. This often means that I come out of the lesson totally unaware of most of what has been said as I have been sat in dreamland the whole time. I asked my friend for the details of the therapist and then arranged a session with her. This was not cheap and it took up all of my paper round money but it really did work.

Preventing Surgical Operations
Saturday, November 5th, 2011
In our lives, it is normal for us to wish that we can control certain aspects – like getting surgeries for example. If you have an condition and was adviced by your plastic surgeon Hawaii to undergo an operation, it is also normal if you feel hesitant and would want to just skip it if possible. Do not worry about that, it is completely logical.
There are different reasons why people would want to prevent surgical operations and let me tell you 2 of them. One could be the most common concern that we hear which is “I do not have enough money for that”. Indeed, surgeries are pricey, let me tell you that apart from the procedure itself, you will have to consider about the professional’s fee, the room rate, the after care and so much more. Fear is another issue here. Even if there are so many high-tech machineries around, there are still many people who are afraid of it.

Understanding Carl Jung Archetypes
Thursday, November 3rd, 2011
To understand Carl Jung, consider first the role of archetypes in the human psyche. According to Carl Jung, archetypes are an elemental part of the psyche which are ancient in origin. All people universally possess archetypes and pass them down to their offspring, just as features of biology are passed generationally. Analytical psychology places a heavy emphasis on archetypes because of how they impact human thought and behavior. When the conscious and unconscious parts of a person fall out of harmony, often a neurosis emerges. Archetypes then take conscious form in order to get the individual’s conscious attention. Carl Jung would observe patients experiencing archetypal imagery in dreams and trances and believing they had a divine source. The function of Carl Jung archetypes is to get conscious attention in order to promote a state of harmony between the conscious and unconscious modes of the human psyche. So it is in their harmonizing nature that archetypes are seen by Jung as able to heal a neurosis.

Faecal Occult Blood Testing (FOBT)
Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011
Faecal Occult Blood Testing (FOBT) is one the tests used for the potential early detection of asymptomatic bowel or colon cancers. The idea is that such cancers (or their pre cancerous states – colon polyps) often bleed and the detection of even small amounts of blood (usually detected by these type of tests in stools samples) delineate a higher risk group who should then undergo further into diagnostic investigation for example colonoscopy.
The main advantages of FOBT screening over other types is that it is non-invasive and is easy to perform without the need for bowel preparation. It can be performed on transported specimens and at relatively low cost. The main disadvantages of an FOBT are low sensitivity in so far as many as 40% of cancers and 80% of adenomas may be missed by the test. Furthermore the late stage in the diseases’ progress at which lesions may bleed can lead to a short lead-time and a requirement for frequent testing.

My Atlanta Dermatologist is the Best!
Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011
Finally the day has come! After trying the best dermatologists in Atlanta I finally found the one that I am going to stick with. This is such a relief because I have different skin conditions that require me to go for a visit about once a month. That adds up to be a lot of time spent with the dermatologist and I can’t afford to not like them. This guy is so kind and gentle. He is an older fellow and he really seems to care about my well being. He offers me a drink when I come in which is a little perk I have never experienced elsewhere. He also explains everything in such great detail which is awesome because I love to understand what is going on. The office is clean and professional feeling and the rest of his staff is super helpful. I just can’t imagine finding a better dermatologist in the Atlanta area. That’s what research and trying different doctors will get you.

Get Exercise Equipment Reviews to Figure out What Will Work Best for You
Tuesday, November 1st, 2011
I know that there is still a few months left until the New Year, but I am trying to be proactive with my New Years resolution. I am sure that it is the same one as millions of other people, but I promise to stick to it. My New Years resolution for next year is to lose weight and stay in shape. Sounds simple enough, but in the past, I have kept up with my resolution for maybe a month or so, then it sort of fizzled. So, this year, I decided that instead of buying another gym membership, I would buy myself some exercise equipment so that there is no reason not to exercise because I do not have to travel to do so. I am not sure what type of exercise equipment I am going to get yet, but I have read a few exercise equipment reviews that I am sure will help me with my final decision.

Things to Desist from when Conducting Home Teeth Whitening
Monday, October 31st, 2011
In as much as home teeth whitening grants the freedom to make choices, there are things you have to keep off when you are carrying it out. You should put a hold to some activities which may require too much strength from your teeth because they shall not be in the best form at this time. So, if your career requires you to put the strength of your teeth to test – for example boxing, martial arts – put a temporary hold on them till you are done with whitening your teeth. Also if your teeth tend to be sensitive, you should avoid taking extremely hot or cold foods. It will be detrimental to overload your teeth enamel with multiple challenges. Another thing to keep off when you are whitening your teeth from home is coating or veneering your teeth. You should wait till the whitening process is satisfactorily completed before you conduct these processes to your teeth because they create a layer that the bleaching gel cannot penetrate. All in all, avoid doing things that may interfere with the chemical acting on the enamel of your teeth.

Precor 9.31 Treadmill Reviews
Sunday, October 30th, 2011
There are not as many precor 9.31 treadmill reviews as you might expect after you have had a good look at the many reviews about other treadmills. Once you look at the difference in the price, then you might see and understand why there are less reviews for the Precor 9.31. There will simply be less people who can call themselves proud owners of that treadmill. Not everyone will be able to spend close to $3000 on a treadmill. And many people who spend that much money on the Precor 9.31 do not really feel much need to write reviews. People who have a lot of money and buy themselves such a treadmill do not very often want to spend their time with writing reviews for other people who might not even be able to afford this kind of treadmill. However, the reviews that do exist about this treadmill will also be able to give you some insight into how good the machine seems to be.

How to Check for Bed Bugs and Some Ugly Bed Bug Facts
Saturday, October 29th, 2011
Q: How come bed bugs could still find their way into invading residential and even public places? My apartment being one of them.
A: That’s because there are some ugly truths that you chose not to believe or buy into and as a result all your efforts to eliminate bed bugs just go down the drain. Here are two of them.
Ugly Fact #1: You can still have bed bugs in your home even if you got rid of the bed.
Bed bugs do not just live in your bed. They do not just live in your box springs. They could still be hiding in their favorite spots aside from the bed. So you need to master how to check for bed bugs by leaving no area unchecked.
Ugly Fact #2: Bed bugs can still come back even if you’ve already had your room treated.
This is especially true if you live in an apartment complex. Because there could still be bed bug alert in the unit next door or throughout the entire upper floor. This is why it’s very important for tenants to inform the building manager of any bed bug infestation.
Sometimes we need to face the ugly truth so in the end we remain triumphant over these nasty bugs. Because you don’t want the bugs to prevail, right?

Saw It Online
Friday, October 28th, 2011
I read plenty of good Shakeology reviewsthat I bought this one on impulse when I saw it online. This shake really fills me up fast and cuts the cravings. I rarely feel constipated and I love it because it keeps me feeling healthy.
I like both variants as they give me variety. The recipes are very exciting as well. I love the choco loco as well as the chocolate covered strawberries. This shake powder is something that I can drink after working out as well. For me, it’s the true recovery drink. I love having this for lunch or dinner. The shake is creamy and rich. It’s what a shake should be. I love making my own concoctions as well. This is a really wonderful product. I am so in love with this one. GO get this now. You will really love this a lot.
Thanks to this. J LOVE!

It’s Flu Shot Season: What is It Going to Cost Me?
Thursday, October 27th, 2011
Ah, it’s that time of year again where the flu is just spewing throughout the air. Since many of us germophobes don’t want to that germ, most are going to recommend that you receive your flu shot. These flu shots can commonly be found at a local pharmacies such as CVS, Walgreens and even your major wholesale clubs like Sam’s Club and Costco. So, if you’re thinking about getting one, what am I going to need?
First off, you don’t need health insurance to get your shot. Most places will let you walk in, fill out some paperwork for a few minutes and you’re good to go. After the paperwork has been filled out, all you’re going to have to do is make sure that you let them know any allergeries you may have or any type of side conditions. This is important because the flu shot could effect it in some way or another.
So, you’re probably wondering how much this shot is going to cost? Most of the time, it’s going to cost around $20 to $30 at a local pharmacy. While you can go and run to your local Doctor’s office, the reason you may want to avoid this is because you’re going to get charged for a doctor’s office visit and you’re going to more than likely have other tests done (doctors like to do this). Going to the doctor’s office can yield a higher price tag of more than $100+
The lesson here is to make sure that you head to a local pharmacy. Since it’s flu season right now, you’ll be able to find a rather good deal.
