When I was in middle school, I had a major crush on a boy from my class. We were all around 12 years old at that time but I can still consider ourselves as quite immature. We were so childish in fact that he once put chewing gum on my hair because I wrote his name on my notebook! I still liked him though and a decade and a half after still wanted to know whatever came of him after they moved to the south. Thats how I came to search for his name in friends reunited and voila! I saw his profile page with lots of pictures of him and his family on it. I somehow felt pain in my heart when I found out that he is now married. He's still a bit cute but also a bit paunchy. His son looks exactly like him when he was young. He actually lives not far from my apartment. I wanted to get in touch with him again although I wonder if he still remembers me after all these years.

it was a typical sunday morning when I woke up to a late breakfast of pancakes. the haunting smell of the pancakes wafting through my room forced me to get up and brush my teeth and run to the kitchen before my giant brother swipes up all the pancakes in one go. certainly he intended to do so but I was too quick for him. I swiped two or three pancakes for myself before he could touch the plate. he seemed to be in a bad mood today. he was tapping insanely on the mouse pad on his net book and then groaned out load, ‘i spoiled the crop on my farm!’ I felt like kicking his chair from under him! as if the zillions of posts in my news feed were not enough that at home too the farmville would not leave me alone. ‘how do I ignore farmville?’ honestly I could never understand the popularity of this application. I did get why scrabble was popular, why poker was popular but farmville was totally beyond me. who would want to be a lame virtual farmer, owning a big virtual farm? I guess the answer is many facebook users.
